About NightMirror
What is NightMirror?
NightMirror is a mobile dream reflection app for anyone who wants to explore what a dream may mean. It helps you turn a dream into a complete result with interpretation, dream imagery, reflection questions, character types, symbols when they are clearly recognized, and saved history in My Dreams.
Instead of giving fixed dream-dictionary meanings, NightMirror looks at the dream as a whole. It is designed to help you pause, revisit what you saw, and discover whether a dream was just one strange night or part of something that keeps returning.
Who is NightMirror for?
NightMirror is for anyone who wakes up wondering what a dream may mean. Maybe it was beautiful, strange, unsettling, emotional, or impossible to explain — but it stayed with you. That moment is easy to lose. NightMirror helps you capture it before it fades and turn it into something you can actually explore.
You can use NightMirror when you want an explanation, a clearer image of what you saw, a personal reflection, or a way to understand why a certain dream keeps returning to your mind. You do not need to remember everything. A full dream, a single scene, a strong feeling, a person, a place, or a few fragments can be enough to begin.
NightMirror is not a fixed dream dictionary. It gives you a complete dream result with interpretation, dream imagery, reflection questions, character types, and symbols when they are clearly recognized. Over time, My Dreams and Insights can help you notice recurring emotions, returning symbols, repeated situations, and patterns you may never have seen if each dream had simply disappeared the next morning.
Is NightMirror a dream dictionary?
No. A dream dictionary usually gives fixed meanings for symbols, such as “water means this” or “teeth mean that.” NightMirror takes a different approach. It looks at the whole dream, the atmosphere, the details you remember, and the patterns that may appear over time.
That makes the result more personal. A symbol in one dream may not carry the same meaning in another. NightMirror helps you explore what your dream may be showing you, without pretending there is only one universal answer.
Dream results
What does one dream result include?
One complete dream result includes a dream interpretation, a generated dream image, reflection questions, character types, and automatic saving in My Dreams. Symbols are added when NightMirror recognizes clear symbols that fit the dream.
The goal is not just to give you a short answer and move on. A complete result gives you something to read, see, revisit, compare later, and keep before the dream disappears from memory.
What can I enter if I only remember part of a dream?
You do not need to remember the whole dream. A single scene, a strange object, a place, a person, a feeling, a color, a sentence, or a few fragments can be enough to begin.
Many dreams fade quickly after waking. NightMirror is built for that reality. Even a small fragment can become the start of a reflection, especially when similar emotions, symbols, or situations return in later dreams.
Can I choose the visual style of my dream image?
Yes. NightMirror lets you choose a visual style for your dream image. This helps the image match the mood of the dream more closely, whether the dream felt soft, dark, surreal, symbolic, cinematic, or emotional.
The image is not just decoration. It gives you a visual reference for a dream that may otherwise become difficult to hold on to. Sometimes seeing the dream as an image makes the feeling of it clearer.
What happens if no clear symbols are found?
NightMirror does not force symbols into every result. Character types are part of each complete dream result, but symbols are only added when NightMirror recognizes symbols that clearly fit your dream.
This keeps the result cleaner and more trustworthy. A dream does not need a long symbol list to be meaningful. Sometimes the emotion, situation, character type, or recurring pattern is more important than a single symbol.
Do I need to install the app?
No. You can use NightMirror in your browser, but installing it gives you the best experience.
When NightMirror is on your home screen, it is always easy to open while a dream is still fresh. You can also enable gentle notifications, so you do not miss reminders, new dream results, or Insight moments.
Credits and pricing
How do credits work?
Your first complete dream result is free. After that, credits are used to create new complete dream results. One credit is used only when a dream result is successfully completed.
NightMirror does not use monthly or yearly subscriptions. You buy credits when you want to continue, use them when a dream matters, and come back at your own pace.
Do I need a subscription?
No. NightMirror does not use monthly or yearly subscriptions. You are not locked into a plan and there is no subscription to cancel.
This matters because dreams do not follow a calendar. Some months you may want to explore several dreams. Other times you may not need NightMirror at all. Credits let you decide when to continue.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits do not expire. They remain available until you use them.
That means you do not need to rush. If a dream stays with you today, you can use a credit today. If nothing calls for reflection for a while, your credits stay ready for the next dream that does.
What happens if a generation fails?
If a dream result fails or cannot be completed, no credit is used. A credit is only deducted when a complete dream result has been created successfully.
This keeps the credit system fair. You pay for completed results, not for technical interruptions or incomplete generations.
Why do I need an account?
Your account keeps your credits, purchases, dream results, My Dreams history, and Insight progress connected to you. Without an account, NightMirror could not reliably remember what belongs to you.
NightMirror uses a secure magic link login. You enter your email address, receive a login link, and open your account without creating or remembering a password.
Privacy and AI
Is NightMirror therapy?
No. NightMirror is not therapy, medical advice, or a diagnostic tool. It is designed for personal reflection, dream journaling, and creative self-exploration.
NightMirror can help you think about a dream in a clearer way, but it does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional support. If you are dealing with serious mental distress, medical concerns, or crisis situations, you should seek qualified professional help.
Are my dreams private?
Your original dream text stays private unless you choose to make it public.
NightMirror can show generated dream result elements, such as the interpretation, dream image, and related generated details, in the Community area. The exact dream text you entered is not shown automatically. You decide whether your original dream input becomes public.
This gives you a clear separation: your private dream input remains under your control, while generated dream results can help build a public space for inspiration, reflection, and discovery.
What exactly becomes visible in Community?
Community is built around generated dream results. This can include generated dream images, interpretations, character types, symbols when they are recognized, and related generated details.
Your original dream input is different. It stays private unless you decide to make it public. Social sharing is also separate from Community visibility. When you share outside NightMirror, you choose what to include in that shared result.
Does NightMirror ask for personal details?
NightMirror keeps account access simple. We use your email address for login, purchases, credits, and important service messages.
We do not ask for a phone number, home address, date of birth, or social media account to create a NightMirror account. The goal is to keep the experience focused on your dreams, not on collecting unnecessary personal information.
My Dreams and Community
What is My Dreams?
My Dreams is your personal dream history inside NightMirror. Every complete dream result you create is saved there automatically.
From My Dreams, you can return to earlier dreams, view them as cards or in a timeline, mark favorites, filter your saved results, download individual dream images, delete dreams, and decide whether your original dream input should stay private or become public.
This is where single dreams can become more than isolated moments. Over time, My Dreams helps you see what returns, what changes, and what may be asking for your attention again.
Can I delete a dream result?
Yes. You can delete individual dream results from My Dreams.
This gives you control over your own dream history. If a dream no longer feels useful, or if you simply do not want to keep it, you can remove it from your saved results.
What is Community?
Community is the public discovery area of NightMirror. It lets you explore generated dream results created by other users, including dream images and interpretations.
You can browse dreams for inspiration, filter by image style, character type, or symbol, and open a dream to see more details. If a dream owner has created multiple image styles for the same dream, you may be able to view those images as well. If the owner has made the original dream input public, that text may also appear.
You can also like dreams, leave comments, and report dreams or comments that feel inappropriate. When you comment on someone’s dream, they receive a notification.
Community is meant for inspiration, reflection, and discovery. It also shows one of the most interesting parts of NightMirror: dreams are personal, but many people recognize similar emotions, symbols, and patterns.
Insights
When do Insights appear?
Your first Insight is created automatically after 10 complete saved dreams. When it is ready, NightMirror sends a notification to your notification box.
After your first Insight, My Dreams keeps track of your next Insight moment. You can see how many complete dreams have been saved since your latest Insight and how many more are needed.
Once another 10 complete dreams are available, you receive a new notification and can choose to generate your next Insight. NightMirror then creates a fresh reflection based on your latest 10 dreams. This helps you see whether certain emotions, symbols, situations, or patterns are returning, changing, fading, or becoming stronger.
What is Compare?
Compare becomes available after you have more than one Insight moment. It compares your latest set of 10 dreams with the previous set of 10 dreams.
Compare looks at shifts across Direction, Pressure, Connection, Stability, and Control. It can help you see what stayed the same, what became stronger, what weakened, and where your dream patterns may be moving.
This is where NightMirror becomes more than a single dream interpretation. One dream can be interesting. Several dreams can start to reveal a pattern you might otherwise have missed.
